Mint Mobile, LLC is a mobile virtual network operator owned by T-Mobile US that offers prepaid mobile phone plans with physical SIM cards or eSIMs.
History[edit]
The company was founded in 2015 as Mint SIM, a subsidiary of Ultra Mobile, by Ultra Mobile founder David Glickman, and Rizwan Kassim.[3]
In November 2019, the corporate spin-off of the company from Ultra Mobile was completed[4] and Ryan Reynolds acquired 20–25% ownership in it.[5] Reynolds and founder Glickman both served on the board of directors for The Michael J. Fox Foundation, and Glickman was impressed with Reynolds' marketing for Deadpool.[2]
In May 2024, T-Mobile US acquired Mint Mobile, with Ryan Reynolds and other employees remaining in the management of the Mint Mobile business unit.[6][7][8][9][10][11]

- In 2021, it was named "the fastest growing company in America", and listed among the best places to work by American City Business Journals.[4][12]
- U.S. News & World Report ranked Mint Mobile 2nd for Best Cell Phone Plans of 2022 (behind Tello Mobile).[13][14]
- TechRadar awarded Mint Mobile the title of "best for overall value" in the mobile phone plan category.[15]
