Snowy days in April?[edit]
The weatherbox for Atlanta says that Atlanta sees an average of 0.2 snowy days per April. That means 2 years out of 10 get some snow in April, which is not the case. It is incredibly rare, if it ever happened, to get snow in April in Atlanta. Also, the average amount of snow days is somehow larger in April than in March (0.1), which makes this even more illogical.
However, I can't really find a way to edit the weatherbox in the source, only the UV/Daylight weatherbox. How would this be edited? Antarctican2606 (talk) 18:51, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
- It's a template, so it has to be edited there. See Template:Atlanta weatherbox. It's probably best to ask on the talk page there first. There are references on the template page, so you can check them directly before making any changes. It's my guess it was probably a typo, but you'll have to check the data to know for sure. - This does appear to be incorrect per the NOAA reference on the template page. I have gone ahead and corrected Template:Atlanta weatherbox. Skipple ☎ 19:18, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
Citation for Native Name[edit]
A new resource just published the accurate Muscogee name for Atlanta: Pvkvn-Huere “Standing peachtree." The blog in question, https://decolonialatlas.wordpress.com/turtle-island-decolonized/ , was rejected, but is highly researched from primary sources, tribal language departments, which are cited within the page. As there is little published material on Indigenous place names in North America that is accurate and spelled in modern orthographies, this is currently the most accurate source on the topic. The only Google results for "Pvkvn-Huere" are this blog, which cites Muscogee linguist Jack Martin, author of the Muscogee Dictionary. "FISHERCAT5751 (talk) 18:46, 14 October 2023 (UTC)"

@Patapsco913: looks like you've introduced a couple of cite errors while trying to add census numbers. I'd fix them, but don't know what they're meant to refer to. -- Fyrael (talk) 17:45, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Fyrael: - sorry about that. I fixed them. Cheers! Patapsco913 (talk) 18:24, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
