Refs[edit]

Are we using sfn's or <ref> refs? RegardsKeith-264 (talk) 07:19, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I recommend < ref > format. that way you get the key info in one place. Rjensen (talk) 17:57, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I prefer sfns, they're less long-winded.Keith-264 (talk) 18:09, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
they are less useful to people who actually use them (most people ignore them, say publishers). Rjensen (talk) 18:19, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
They're much quicker if you're paraphrasing a long passage and using quite a few.Keith-264 (talk) 18:43, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Popular perception of French cowardice or weakness[edit]

Hi,

I came to this article expecting a discussion of the current popular idea of the French as "prone to surrendering", cf. Cheese-eating_surrender_monkeys. I feel like this is a crucial part of this story that doesn't seem to be covered here at all. InspectorMendel (talk) 13:48, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
