Alla Kostromichova (Ukrainian Алла Костромiчова; born June 11, 1986) is a Ukrainian model and TV presenter. Kostromichova has been working with leading fashion houses since 2009[1][2][3][4][5] and has appeared on covers and advertising campaigns in numerous Ukrainian and international magazines, including Harper's Bazaar,[6][7] Marie Claire,[8] and Vogue.

Biography[edit]

Kostomichova was born in Sevastopol, Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. She graduated from Sevastopol National Technical University.

Aged 20, Kostomichova signed a contract with Why Not modelling agency in Milan. In 2008, she temporarily moved to France to work with Givenchy. The same year, she made her catwalk debut at New York Fashion Week, where she presented Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior, Nina Ricci, Roberto Cavalli, Hermès, Balenciaga, and Valentino.[9]

In 2014, Kostromichova became the host of the reality show Top Model po-ukrainsky.[10][11]

Career[edit]

Kostromichova's career began in the spring of 2008, when she appeared in the opening spot of the Fall/Winter Collette Dinnigan show in Paris. In October of that year, her career took off as she walked the runways of Dior, Emanuel Ungaro, Maison Margiela, and Yves Saint Laurent in Paris. Kostromichova was scouted by Women Management in early 2009, which led to her first New York Fashion Week runway appearances for Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein, and Donna Karan. Kostromichova went on to open the Alexander McQueen and Yves Saint Laurent shows in Paris, as well as walk for Balenciaga, Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, and Valentino.

Her runway credits include, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Balmain, Blumarine, Bottega Veneta,Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, DSquared², Fendi, Giorgio Armani, Givenchy, Hermès, Jean Paul Gaultier, Kenzo, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, MaxMara, Roberto Cavalli, Valentino, Versace, Versus Versace, and Yves Saint Laurent.

She's appeared in campaigns for Dsquared, Bottega Veneta, and Jean Paul Gaultier.

In 2009 she appeared on the covers of Russian and Italian Vogue.

In June 2019, she became the face of the Jean Paul Gaultier's brand.[12]

Personal life[edit]

Kostromichova is married to Jason Capone and has two children.[13][14] She currently lives in New York City.
