Category:American culture is a subcategory of Category:American studies and Category:American studies is a subcategory of Category:American culture. This is a bit peculiar. Which is the parent and which the child? — Robert Greer (talk) 21:05, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Seems like American studies is a specific academic program or field, so American culture should be the main catagory. Everything currently categorised as American studies that isn't directly related to the field should also be removed from the category. Smetanahue (talk) 08:08, 31 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
