William T. Fauntroy Sr. worked for the patent office in Washington D.C. He had seven children including Walter E. Fauntroy, a delegate to Congress from Washington D.C. .[1]

He retired in 1962. He was married to Ethel Fauntroy who died in 1966.

William T. Fauntory Jr.[2] was a pioneering engineer.[3] He was a Tuskegee Airmen cadet when World War II ended. He had several brothers including Raymond Fauntroy.[4]
