I hope the Wiki-editors will give me a hand here. I have edited hundreds of articles (in the Danish part of Wikipedia) - normally without any problems. So I hope you can help me out here.

One editor asks "where does this all come from?"

There are a handful of external, independent sources for this article. The sources are long, thorough articles which confirm every major fact in this article.

  • Berlingske is a leading national newspaper
  • Ing.dk is the most prolific Danish trade journal for Engineers.
  • Sn.dk is the second largest regional news-organization in Denmark
  • Computerworld is a Danish trade journal for the IT-sector
  • Maritime.direct is an independent journal covering the maritime industry
  • Dkpto.dk is the official Danish Government database of patents

I realize that they are mostly in Danish, but they are nonetheless reputable sources and a quick use of Google Translate would confirm this - and confirm that everything is covered by sources. Furthermore the basic principles are described in several of the Wikipedia-articles that are used for references.

As the use of halon for fire suppression was widespread and a major reason for the the ozone depletion problem and thus the Montreal Protocol, the invention of alternatives was significant and worthy of mentioning.

The ozone depletion problem happened in the 1980'ies and therefore it's difficult finding online sources from the same time period, but here are sources ranging from both 1995 and 2022.

I hope it's possible for you to take a look at the four external sources and reconsider - or point to a more specific piece of information that needs to be verified.
