First name[edit]

To call Karl van Beethoven "Kaspar" is just ludicrous. His name was Karl and that's how he called himself and his whole life he signed his name "Carl van Beethoven"!--62.47.128.102 (talk) 09:59, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be moved to "Carl van Beethoven". To call him "Kaspar" is just nonsensical, when Ludwig referred to him "my beloved brother Carl".--91.113.58.73 (talk) 14:12, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
