Phosphoric acid ?[edit]

I suspect most of the article is copied verbatim from the 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica. It was not uncommon a century ago to express the anion fraction in rocks and minerals in terms of the corresponding acids. So in modern language, this would be a form with elevated phosphate content. The whole article needs to be updated with modern language and sources, which I will get to ... eventually. --Kent G. Budge (talk) 23:13, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Kent G. Budge for the explanation. In some other mineral descriptions I see “contains X-oxide” which I used to read as contains element X but not meaning the proper X-oxide. ----Stenallan (talk) 14:23, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
