Greek Life

I removed the unsourced information after each of these fraternities. If a source could be found, then the information could be added back.

  • Tau Kappa Epsilon first started at Salisbury in 1992.
  • Sigma Phi Epsilon Largest on campus, highest GPA of any male organization on campus.
  • Sigma Alpha Epsilon donated the Scarborough Leadership Center to Salisbury University's campus, reigning Greek Week champions.
  • Alpha Sigma Phi began at SU in 1999.
  • Sigma Pi was chartered in April 2004.
  • Kappa Sigma Colony started in Spring 2008.

Salisbury deserves a Wikipedia entry that is commensurate with it's level of excellence.

09:58, 21 February 2009 (UTC) This entry has some strong elements but could be made even better. Consider adding the following salient facts. Earlier this year, the U.S. News & World Report reported the following:

  1. "In guidebooks and surveys by U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review and others, SU consistently ranks in the top 10 percent of public and private institutions nationwide".
  2. "All four academic schools are endowed, a rarity among public institutions."
  3. Average high school GPA: 3.5
  4. U.S. News rank: 35 Rank

I recommend the following sections be condensed into one or two paragraphs that reference external links: Greek life, Student clubs, Points of interest, BEACON: The Business, Economic, and Community Outreach Network, PACE: Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement

I recommend the following sections be removed: Campus police (inclusion of such detailed crime stats is unusual), Relay For Life, Seagull Century, Controversies

Again, Salisbury deserves a Wikipedia entry that is commensurate with it's level of excellence.

I agree with most of these suggestions. I just added the Infobox for the Athletics section (from the "College Athletics" template. I aim to clean up some more of this article in the future. Amit (talk) 18:44, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Agree, I don't see a need to have the listing of student clubs or greek life. An external link to SU's website should be good. In today's news: "Princeton Review names SU among 2011 Best Northeastern Colleges" http://www.delmarvanow.com/article/20100803/NEWS01/100803035 David (talk) 23:10, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

COI

Just a hunch at the moment, but recent edits, along with the creation of several in-depth new articles on the schools that are part of Salisbury, strongly suggest COI, or at very least a connected editor. Tagging as such.HappyValleyEditor (talk) 21:08, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
