Welcome, Yashowardhani! I have a few questions for you immediately.

(1) Would you preferr to be referred to as Yashowardhani or something else? I'd prefer to just be called Brambleberry instead of the whole "Brambleberry of RiverClan" thing.
(2) Do you have any specific questions right away, or do you just not know what to do about anything?
(3) Is there anything that you feel as if you particularly understand and therefore we won't have to cover?
(4) What kind of picture would you like on your adoption page? (see the OcelotHod, Ladytwentytwo, and Missionedit pages to get an idea of what I mean)

Don't feel as if you have to sign your name here, as this isn't a talk page.

Thank you for adopting me. You can call me Yasho, everyone calls me that. Any picture will do but a picture related to Astronomy is what I'd like. And I do have a specific question. I get very few to edit, since I only edit to correct mistakes I come across while reading Wikipedia. Is there any way I could know if there's something I could contribute to?
Usually when you join a WikiProject, which we will go over soon, they will have a list of open tasks, meaning that anybody can contribute to it and they don't want a specific person. You can also look at Wikipedia:Community portal/Opentask. In fact, that's a good place to start.

Lesson 1: Open tasks[edit]

At Wikipedia:Community portal/Opentask there is a list of open tasks for you to do. This means that anyone who wants to can just jump right in and do what they want you to do. I want you to pick one from each category (if you're dissatisfied with the five that show up from one category, you can always lick the More to get a full list) and tell me what they are. Then begin doing what they want you to do. I'll monitor your progress.

  • Fix spelling and grammar:
  • Fix wikilinks:
  • Remove unsourced material:
  • Expand short articles:
  • Check and add references:
  • Update with new information:
  • Improve lead sections:
  • Add an image:
  • Translate and clean up:

If you feel at all uncomfortable with one of these, please tell me. That will likely be the focus of our next lesson, to make you feel more comfortable with doing one of those tasks.

This is what I've chosen so far:
I don't know what are wikilinks and how to check and add references(how can we find a good reference to verify a statement? It's like finding the question of an answer)and how to add images, I've never did that before. (It's my birthday, by the way)
Happy birthday, Yasho! When you finish those four articles, I'll teach you how to check and add references, how to put in good wikilinks, and how to add images.
Hey, I'm back. Sorry for being absent for such a long time, I was so busy, I almost forgot how to edit! Punish me as you will (just don't expel me!).

I did some work in Religions in India and Snowtown murders (another page I found from Open Tasks). I don't know how I could help in the rest articles, my skills (if you can call'em that) seem to be limited to copy-editing only.
