Methionine Restriction[edit]

There is a lot of research and a lot going on with Methionine as it relates to animal lifespan. I think we should agree this is an important aspect of it, and should somehow be noted in the article. I propose rather than an across-the-board deletion of the entire subject, perhaps it should be better expanded on and clarified, hopefully with your help. Let's make it clear in the article that some are animal studies and may or may not translate to humans. Perhaps some more recent human research might be added, such as this 2023: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37960316/ or this https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7911310/ Health Camp (talk) 00:08, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sources are not reliable per WP:MEDRS, WP:MEDANIMAL and WP:MEDDATE. One of the links is this one [1] noting how the media have made ridiculous claims from a fruit fly study.

If you want to add such content find a medical review. This [2] isn't a reliable source, it's a predatory paper published by MDPI, as is the other one you cited. Psychologist Guy (talk) 01:49, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
